A full suite of new nvidia drivers. Of note and interest, 96.43.20 adds xorg 1.10 support, so those long suffering users of the ancient cards not handled by 173xxxx series, can now stretch out the useful lives of their cards a bit further. But really, people, give it up, go buy a 5xxx series card for $5 and save yourself some headaches....

Also a new stable current, 275.21, busy nvidia beavers, must have been a fix that was easy to rollout across all the drivers I'm assuming.

Because new features are included in the new legacy driver beta releases, I promoted all to current sgfxi default, if you have problems with this, make SURE to file a bug report following the directions, nvidia makes this about as easy as it can be, so do it, if you want your card issues supported. You can always use the sgfxi override -o option, see -h for supported drivers, or see sgfxi -Ld to see the live sgfxi supported drivers, then just add that to the -o option. Like:
:: Code ::
sgfxi -o 173.14.30

Nvidia releases the first official xorg 1.11 supporting driver, 285.05.09

release notes: www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=2487046

Please note that all other legacy cards as of now have no official xorg 1.11 support, only current cards, that is, cards 6xxx or newer.

I tried 290.03 and I started having problems with the non-free flash plugin in iceweasel and chromium (but not opera). Going back to 285.05.09 'solved' the problem.

It helps fix these issues if you follow the bug report link I posted, then post the bug report, that way nvidia also knows about the issue, if they don't already.

I've added my experience to their three pages of (inconsistent) bug reports. For some it's OK on v10 but not v11 whereas it didn't function correctly with v10 here.
