Upgraded to 6.12.1-1-liquorix-amd64 and boot to black screen
Hey there,
I've had no issues with 6.11.10-1-liquorix, so when the mint update manager advised there was a new kernel/headers I went ahead and downloaded/installed the update, and set it to be the kernel to boot with in grub customizer. Upon boot though, was prompted with a black screen. Rebooted into old kernel, turned off quiet splash, but upon attempting to boot into the new kernel, there's no listed error, just a blinking cursor. It'd be nice to be on the latest kernel, so if anyone could advise next troubleshooting steps or if I should just wait for the next kernel I'd appreciate your input. Thank you kindly! :: Code :: System:

In a sibling thread, the following nvidia release was recommended and appears to work: www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/details/236036/
Otherwise, I uploaded rebuilt 6.11 kernels for Ubuntu, which you can retrieve for your running version here: liquorix.net/ubuntu/ Back to top |
|||||
I am running Debian Unstable on a desktop and also using the same 560 driver so will downgrade to the 550 series for now to wait for a newer 565 driver.

Thank you Damentz! The rebuilt 6.11 kernels work perfectly with the default mint install selection of 550.12, I'm sure they'll work with 560 but I'll leave it at that. Thanks again!
