Liquorix will never purposefully be compatible with Debian Stable. I don't use it, it's old, and if it's not, it won't be relevant soon for modern desktop usage.

Old or not depends on the repositories. You can install anything from sources.
techAdmin, Debian Wheezy will soon become stable and if i install it now i never need to re-install my OS to receive new updates for OS?? Also i see i can easy upgrade Squeeze to Wheezy. Is that hard to downgrade? Is there any guide for downgrade? It's needed if upgrade will fails. Offtopic: Is where any changelog of the kernel versions (liquorix)? And where can i see the main differenses between Liquorix and Zen-kernel? Back to top |

You don't really have to update the whole system for gcc only. the time consuming way (15 min at most) is to get it from the link i provided you above and then install from same place dependencies Gdebi will complain about. Back to top |
