well I am still using sid and bodhi packages but I forgot to post here....I posted in the smxi area that you need a good apt-pinning system so here is what you might like to try to see if they play together?
cat of /etc/apt/sources.list.d/debian.list :: Quote ::
#sid deb mirror.internode.on.net/pub/debian sid main contrib non-free #vbox deb download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian wheezy contrib non-free #bodhi # deb packages.bodhilinux.com/bodhi lucid main no other changes needed for me....and I am not suggesting you have to use virtualbox....but a rough explanation of apt-pinning when smxi run the update command it gets packages ----if duplicates exist---from the highest mentioned repository. unfortunately bodhi sometimes updates and maintains a few packages that in the past were a problem but now I force only debian packages onto my system and updates only grab bodhi packages if a) they are installed b) they are updated c) not updated in debian repository d) very rarely ....a new dependency to an existing bodhi package (a) refers to the fact I have not installed every bodhi package good luck Back to top |
thanks ;]
after bad experience with ubuntu packages in debian I'm not sure wheter I am gonna use some bodhi, but maybe I will grab some debs and install manually (some apps that aint in debian repo) Back to top |
