The header package is broken for kernel 2.6.39-1 (linux-headers-2.6-liquorix-amd64).

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
linux-headers-2.6-liquorix-amd64 : Depends: linux-headers-2.6.39-1.dmz.1-liquorix-amd64 (= 2.6.39-3) but it is not going to be installed

try doing apt-get update again, that should be fixed.

It doesn't seem fixed yet but perhaps I need to wait some time for the package to be available in the repository?

it's there but maybe apt itself wasn't updated right.

I've run "apt-get update" several times and again once I got this message. I am an experienced linux developer. It's just not pulling anything new from the repository - no update, nothing.

Hmm,
I just updated two of my boxes (both amd64) to 2.6.39. No problems experienced yet.

I think I found the problem.

linux-headers-2.6.39-1.dmz.1-liquorix-amd64 : Depends: gcc-4.6 but it is not installable

I am running Ubuntu Natty. gcc 4.6 is not in the Ubuntu stable repositories yet. Perhaps they will be including it in Ubuntu 11.10 . Do the linux headers for 2.6.39 really require gcc 4.6 or can you change the dependencies so that gcc 4.5 or earlier will suffice? I suspect that many more Ubuntu users will be in the same boat when they attempt to upgrade to Liquorix 2.6.39. Thanks.

Please ALWAYS note that you are using ubuntu when reporting issues here, it can quicken support time and avoid false bug reports.

Same goes for the sgfxi stuff by the way, the primary dev environment for these tools is debian, as is the primary user base.

I'll rebuild my kernel with gcc-4.5 in mind. Looks like not everyone has moved to 4.6 yet.
