Error I've been getting since 2.6.36-1.dmz.4
Hi,
When I try to play Flash content in my web browser, I get this error on the console: :: Code ::

Can you confirm that a different kernel does not cause this bug and that it was not a flash plugin update?

I had a similar problem with kernel 2.6.36-1.dmz.4 and 2.6.36-1.dmz.5. As soon as i played a flash movie (youtube) the sound system was killed and then i got several oops-messages. The computer slowed down and was pretty much unusable and the only way out was reisub.
This did not happen on the other computers that im running the very same kernel versions on. But what is same for all computers are that i experience problems such as instability, oopses and periodic slowdowns. Anyway, since last kernel update 2.6.36-2.dmz.1 i can play flash based content again. Dont know if this new kernel will resolve the other problems experienced though. Edit: Didnt have anything to do with flash as described above. See: techpatterns.com/forums/about1713.html Back to top |

It's the same issue as Henrik. It happens when there are two audios streams (when it happened to me, I had mocp playing while trying to watch YouTube). I was also able to envoke it by playing music in mocp and playing a movie in vlc.
I don't experience this with the vanilla 2.6.32-5 in CrunchBang/Squeeze, or with 2.6.34 in Arch. Back to top |

To confirm the same happens here on antiX with 2.6.36-2.dmz.1-liquorix-686 kernel when opening youtube and moc.
It does not happen with the latest MEPIS 2.6.36-1-mepis-smp kernel. Back to top |

If you guys boot with noautogroup does this problem disappear?

Just tested with noautogroup and there is no change.

Same here with youtube and moc or moc and video in mplayer.

Ok, I think I was able to reproduce the bug on youtube while playing some Daft Punk in the background. Per Henrik's post, I think I know which patch is causing the problem... let me see if removing it fixes the bug.

2.6.36-2.dmz.2 is up and should fix the problem. Let me know if it doesn't as I'm not able to reproduce the exact same problem, but flash was acting unusually and behaving strangely with my older one or two kernels.
