There's lots of this information out there, this google search should get you started.

Debian already has bug reports on it, here's 345914 and here's 345958

After upgrading from kernel 2.6.12-1 and xserver.xorg 6.8.2 to kernel 2.6.15-1 and xserver.xorg 6.9.0.dfsg.1-4 my notebook (Jewel Topaz 9600,CPU Intel Pentium M processor 1.70GHz ) fails to start the X-server, exiting with Fatal server error: Caught signal 11. Server aborting.
