I have an ASUS 7S333 motherboard with a Samsung 60G SV6003H hard drive.
I recently had to flash the bios to version 1006.
I can use a smaller hard drive, (3G) is the one I used.
But when I try to use the larger drive, (60G), it recognizes it but will not boot to the operating system.(Win XP home edition).
Any solutions?
Thanks!

This isn't clear.

Do you have Windows XP installed on a small 3 gigabyte drive?

And do you also have windows xp installed on a larger 60 gig drive?

Or did you copy the 3 gig xp install onto the 60 gig drive? That won't work.

Or when you add the 60 gig drive, Windows XP won't boot?

If it's the latter case, it might be a windows xp product activation issue, since hardware changes can trigger the requirement for new activation.

Things that do that are new mobo, new memory, possibly new hard drives.

It's possible that windows saw the bios upgrade as a new mobo.

But it's very hard to say for sure.

The best test is to download a test Linux live cd, burn it, then try booting into it and see if you can see all the drives, and that the system works. I like Kanotix live cd. You can download it there. That's the easiest way to see what the problem may be.

However, it's too hard to say anything definitive with the information you gave.
