Windows Backup onto external Hard drive
I backed up my system a while ago and am sure it is time to do it again, but I can't remember what I did. I know there is some way to back up only the information that was not backed up befor (faster). what is the best way to go about this?
There's a second problem, I'm not seeing my external hard drive [ USB 2 ] which I will be using to do my backup in the in my Windows Explorer. I'm not sure how to make it appear again. Any information you can provide will be appreciated. Back to top |
You should just be able to unplug the external USB drive, plug it back in and Windows should find it. If that doesn't work, unplug it, shut down your machine, plug it back in and restart.
No clue about the incremental backup - I burn cds of all the stuff I want to keep - once a week. I like having it ALL - the queen of redundancy, that's moi! (No kidding: I have stuff on disk and cd back to about 1987....) Back to top |
