performance increased after update
Hi,
after upgrading the kernel from version 6.13.5-1-liquorix-amd64 to 6.13.5-2-liquorix-amd64 I noticed a general increase in performance, especially from a graphical point of view. It would be interesting to understand what produced the positive change (at least for me) and if it can be maintained in subsequent versions of the kernel. It might be something else on your system that updated at the same time, like KDE's Kwin compositor. Below's the changelog, mostly a bug fix (EDAC spam), and build fix (removing lazy preemption support correctly):
:: Code :: linux-liquorix (6.13-2) unstable; urgency=medium
* remove support for Project-C + lazy preemption through Kconfig * add patch to fix EDAC log spam - EDAC/igen6: Fix the flood of invalid error reports * update version to 6.13.5-2 -- Steven Barrett <steven@liquorix.net> Tue, 04 Mar 2025 16:20:32 -0600 Back to top |

To tell the truth, that looks like a FrankenDebian to me, since Debian 12 has Qt 6.4.2, and no Plasma 6.

antdeveloper, and update for you, an experimental fix came into 6.13.7-2 / 6.13-5 that fixes priority inversion on overloaded queues. This just means the kernel should feel more responsive whenever you light up all your cores as long as nice levels are set properly.
