Liquorix Kernels freezes on Intel Atom x5-Z8300
Hello Gentlemen :)
I have problem with Liquorix Kernels on the laptop (tablet???) HP Pavilion x2 - 10-n106nl (Detachable). The problem occurs during system boot (Arch Linux), where system is freezes/suspends. I have checked the logs of system boot with "dmesg" and here are the errors: sty 16 19:08:03 piotrze-tablet kernel: ACPI Error: No handler for Region [GMMR] ((____ptrval____)) [UserDefinedRegion] (20230628/evregion-130) sty 16 19:08:03 piotrze-tablet kernel: ACPI Error: Region UserDefinedRegion (ID=146) has no handler (20230628/exfldio-261) sty 16 19:08:03 piotrze-tablet kernel: ACPI Error: Aborting method \_SB.PCI0.I2C3.CAMC._STA due to previous error (AE_NOT_EXIST) (20230628/psparse-529) sty 16 19:08:03 piotrze-tablet kernel: ACPI Error: No handler for Region [GMMR] ((____ptrval____)) [UserDefinedRegion] (20230628/evregion-130) sty 16 19:08:03 piotrze-tablet kernel: ACPI Error: Region UserDefinedRegion (ID=146) has no handler (20230628/exfldio-261) sty 16 19:08:03 piotrze-tablet kernel: ACPI Error: Aborting method \_SB.PCI0.I2C3.CAMC._STA due to previous error (AE_NOT_EXIST) (20230628/psparse-529) sty 16 19:08:03 piotrze-tablet kernel: ACPI Error: No handler for Region [GMMR] ((____ptrval____)) [UserDefinedRegion] (20230628/evregion-130) sty 16 19:08:03 piotrze-tablet kernel: ACPI Error: Region UserDefinedRegion (ID=146) has no handler (20230628/exfldio-261) sty 16 19:08:03 piotrze-tablet kernel: ACPI Error: Aborting method \_SB.PCI0.I2C3.CAML._STA due to previous error (AE_NOT_EXIST) (20230628/psparse-529) sty 16 19:08:03 piotrze-tablet kernel: ACPI Error: No handler for Region [GMMR] ((____ptrval____)) [UserDefinedRegion] (20230628/evregion-130) sty 16 19:08:03 piotrze-tablet kernel: ACPI Error: Region UserDefinedRegion (ID=146) has no handler (20230628/exfldio-261) sty 16 19:08:03 piotrze-tablet kernel: ACPI Error: Aborting method \_SB.PCI0.I2C3.CAML._STA due to previous error (AE_NOT_EXIST) (20230628/psparse-529) I think, that Liquorix Kernels requires some patch/patches, because normal Linux Kernels and Zen Linux Kernels works correctly. Regards :) Back to top |

Hmm, I'm not sure if this is worth investigating. The Intel Cherry Trail SKU of chips are notorious for poor compatibility with mainline.
Also note, Liquorix is a derivative of Zen Kernel, so it already has all the "patches", but it runs an alternative process scheduler that may be causing issues. Sadly, I'm just going to recommend you switch back to Zen as Liquorix is really not an ideal kernel for an old tablet device like yours, regardless of regressions with suspend/resume. Back to top |

Do the standard Arch kernels work on this?
