Not sure, I use UEFI on two laptops of mine, works just as well with stock as with Liquorix. Don't really have any other advice other than make sure grub's config is updated.

As I understand it, the only OS's that support Secure Boot are Windows and very particular stock configurations of popular linux distributions like Ubuntu. Outside of that, Secure Boot doesn't work.

I recommend you turn off Secure Boot so you have more options.
