I hope they haven't vanished! Running Liquorix 4.17 due to some unrelated issues, where the penguins are still there, waddling around until it boots.

I made a change recently to reduce the diff size for the zen and friends logos here: github.com/zen-kernel/zen-kernel/commit/b28bb1b229d61e8759eb5bb5ed4db9f5c3965ff3. No one was seriously using the random feature, and new versions of GCC warn on a particular way its handling the ppm files.

The configuration shows that the logo should be displaying:


I'll look at it once I get some free time and see what I did wrong with the diff.

And actually, it looks like this is a known issue on the kernel bugzilla: bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=203629

Unfortunately, no one's looked at it. I did put out a release with my recent change reverted but I don't think it helped. I'll restore it for the next stable release.
