hi damentz,

No problem booting the 4.2-1.dmz.2 version but
compiling xorg when running liquorix kernel shows a warning:
:: Code ::

make install
glibtop: Non-standard uts for running kernel:
release 4.2-1.dmz.2-liquorix-amd64=4.2.0 gives version code 262656

No such warning when running linux-image-4.2.0-trunk-amd64 from Debian/experimental.

Backported the amd64 4.2-3 release to Wheezy, and I'm happy to report it now boots and runs fine. The patched fglrx Jessie AMD graphics driver is also building and running well, but i have no hardware to test the patched broadcom-sta wifi driver. Virtual Box 5 also rebuilds its modules sucessfully via DKMS.

Excellent, thanks everyone for testing.

Jos.v.W, this has been around for a while, it has to do with glibtop not understanding that the kernel now only has 3 digits in its versioning instead of 4. I think that Debian worked around it by keeping 4 digits somewhere in its version that glibtop reads but it's a benign error and doesn't need to be specifically addressed.

Megaf, braveheartleo, and stevepusser - could you try the latest version in the repository? Version 4.2-1.dmz.2.

Hi,

I'm glad in informing that the system booted and everything seems to be working as it should now.
Thanks everyone!
