I will have to correct myself here, in fact there are.
Drupal7 is there (and a ccouple other), I tested it and it's a mess.
Had to purge it.
Drupal itself only recommends their own method of installation, and it is understandable because there are several ways depending on target, a multisite is not the same as a one-site.
Sorry for the digression but I posted for the sake of accuracy.
