I'm getting this error when installing the new Liquorix 3.6 on Linux Mint (Ubuntu):
ERROR (dkms apport): kernel package linux-headers-3.6.0-3.dmz.1-liquorix-amd64 is not supported
Error! Application of patch blacklist-vga-pmu-registers.patch failed.

I realize Ubuntu sometimes lags behind Debian, but I did update DMKS and gcc from Quantal. I have read the "read this first" post. My question is which package is out of date or incompatible? Is nvidia 304.60 incompatible with kernel 3.6? Or is DKMS lagging behind? Something else? Thanks.

304.60 is the current stable nvidia, it's compatible with 3.6 kernel.

Nobody can really know what dkms is or is not, unfortunately. Particulary in mint, or when mixed with other repos, or whatever.
