Kernel module build for AR8161 Gigabit Ethernet in 3.4.0-10
I run Debian Wheezy, 3.4.0-10.dmz.1-liquorix-amd64 kernel.
If you fails to build kernel modules using 2012-07-03-pc, try other version. 2012-03-12-p works out for me. I had weird error when I tried 2012-07-03-pc source. :: Code ::
$ sudo modprobe alx ERROR: could not insert 'alx': Exec format error You can download source codes from www.orbit-lab.org/kernel/compat-wireless/2012/03/ Build procedure is simple: make a build directory $ tar xvjf [source tarball] cd compat-wireless-something /scripts/driver-select alx $ make $ sudo make install kernel modules :: Code ::
