loadavg broken?
Hi all!
I've been using Liquorix kernels for some time, and never had any major issues with them. But I noticed today the loadavg count is broken, is it a known issue? It shows all zeroes when it clearly shouldn't (I'm compiling stuff and my two cores are pretty much maxed out) :: Quote :: $ cat /proc/loadavg
0.00 0.00 0.00 4/386 26935 $ uname -a Linux laptop 3.4.0-1.dmz.1-liquorix-amd64 #1 ZEN SMP PREEMPT Tue Jun 5 00:36:07 CDT 2012 x86_64 GNU/Linux I'm using Debian, but I doubt the distro or anything on userspace would affect the loadavg in such a way. If you need any other system details let me know :) Back to top |

This appears to be a known bug with BFS:
:: Code :: <damentz> damentz@damentz64:~$ cat /proc/loadavg
<damentz> 0.00 0.00 0.00 1/433 3383 <damentz> damentz@damentz64:~$ dmesg | grep BFS <damentz> BFS CPU scheduler v0.422 by Con Kolivas. <damentz> looks like something is wrong with the load average in bfs 422 <ssb> known bug From #ck @ irc.oftc.net. I'll follow-up and see if I can get more updates whenever Con becomes available. EDIT: More updates, take a look at this: lkml.org/lkml/2012/6/10/4. Back to top |
