smxi does not install apache2-configuration
package-install -> servers -> option 1) apache-mysql-php -> option 3) apache2-configuration
does not install at all. Back to top |
It's probably not in apt, lesson:
When reporting such things, just do: apt-cache policy <package name> then see what apt reports. Then let me know it's not in apt, or even better, find out if the name has changed or something, so I can fix it. Back to top |
ckosloff@papimalo:~$ su
Password: root@papimalo:/home/ckosloff# apt-cache policy rapache N: Unable to locate package rapache root@papimalo:/home/ckosloff# Will investigate this package further and let you know. Back to top |
From the rapache.net website under documentation section:
"At the moment, rApache is a source-only downloadable package. I've made attempts in the past to learn the Debian packaging system but have not quite got it down yet." There is no rapache in Debian repos at all, no lenny, squeeze, wheezy, sid, etc., nothing. It will be your call if you want to build a .deb and put it in smxi, but I think this goes a little bit beyond the scope of it. Back to top |
Let me clarify a bit more why I said I believe it exceeds the scope of smxi.
rApache is not a configuration tool for apache2, it is a tool for stat nerds. From their website: "rApache is a project supporting web application development using the R statistical language and environment and the Apache web server." Back to top |
correct, I'm not interested in adding things like that to smxi.
Ceni is an exception because it's a package that, like inxi, should be in debian proper, and it's a simple script. Back to top |
Just bumping this up a bit.
The rapache option, which does not work and is undesirable, is still viewable in smxi. Back to top |
sorry, that slipped my mind, it's now out of the smxi, thanks for the reminder.
