I get an error when trying to enter virtual machine installer section of smxi when using the 3.0-0.slh.1-aptosid-amd64 kernel.

ie.
"Error (253) Your kernel type 3 is not supported for these drivers"

Could this be because the new kernel numbering has not been catered for in the svmi script? If it is then I am willing to test any mods that are made to the script.

That's been corrected now. I had forgotten one error handler test, the actual adjustment had been made a month or two ago, but of course, never tested properly.

That should be fine in svmi and sgfxi, and I'll double check that there aren't any lingering kernel checks in smxi that might trip incorrectly.

I've double checked sgfxi, svmi, and smxi, and all those should be working fine in all areas. As noted, sgfxi and svmi have been fixed/updated to fix possible failures such as you found, and smxi I believe should just work as well, but let me know if you find different.
