Hi

I have just installed and have

$ uname -a
Linux sid 2.6.38-2.dmz.1-liquorix-686 #1 ZEN SMP PREEMPT Tue Mar 29 01:06:56 UTC 2011 i686 GNU/Linux

$  cat /proc/asound/version
Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.23.



In case I have made (another) mistake...heh heh can you confirm that this is your current alsa version please?

In which case I may need to mod my ALSA howto in a different sub-forum

AFAIK its now 1.0.24 as per
alsa-project.org/main/index.php/Download
