Hi everyone. I would like to know if are there any design patterns or architectural patterns used in the computer hardware industry??? if there are any...can anyone inform me about them or send me a lonk to them because I've been trying to find them but couldn't find any.

1. My interest is to know and show how electricity flow inside the PC, starting from the Power supply up to the last stage where you can actually see the Graphics

2. My other interest is to show how a computer recognises that the bettery is running empty and how does it notifies the user since we nomally see a small icon showing us the life time of the bettery (in the case of laptops)
