Maybe I shouldn't even be trying to use Liquorix on Ubuntu (Maverick 10.10) - But I've been doing it with no problems up through 2.6.36-2.dmz.1. On 2.6.32-2.dmz.2, Gnome panel applets don't appear, the system freezes, it hangs on shutdown, etc. 2.6.36-2.dmz.2 works fine on the same hardware in AVLinuz (debian sid, lxde).

Hi Damentz,

I see this too. Did not see it in 2.6.36-2.dmz.1. FYI it affects other window managers like openbox too.

Observation: it does NOT seem to affect 32-bit kernels, only the 64-bit version. Also it's still possible to login via a virtual terminal, but the system waits on a 'sync', and cannot reboot either.

I just got a report about this on #zen-sources - building a new kernel now.

Ah yes, the installation it works on is 32 bit, the problem is on 64 bit.
