Unfortunately, today I tried to upgrade and got a kernel panic. It said something like:

:: Quote ::
Aiee. Not in sync.

Then a lot of other error messages and I don't remember them...

I even tried to use your latest patch of 7th November against the linux-liquorix-2.6_2.6.35.orig.tar.bz2 and got the same kernel panic.

The previous 2.6.35-8.dmz.1 works like a charm (I also recompiled it according to my hardware and everything is OK).

Please look into it, damentz.

Thank you!

Yes, got the very same error.

I didnt take notes but there were also something about "Scheduling while atomic" etc.

It happened while i was purging the previous 2.6.35-8.dmz.1-liquorix-686 version.

Update:
It happened again when i was trying to remove the previous kernel.

I think we're getting different errors...
I didn't have issues while purging or installing the kernel. I only see the kernel panic saying something like "Aiee. Not in sync".

Anyway, something got seriously broken with the new patch :(

Ok, I reverted the changes and reuploaded 8.dmz.1 as 8.dmz.3 to give myself more time to look at this.

What's strange is that I only backported some writeback patches that I pushed to the 2.6.36 branch.

Hello, damentz!

Unfortunately, I had never any kernel panic in linux (debian or debian based distros) . But 2.6.36-0.dmz.5-liquorix-686 has given me now about four kernels panics in less than one week...

I don't even know how to debug this. The only thing I can find in the logs is something like "drm: registered panic notifier", but it doesn't even seem to be an error message. I can remember from the messages something talking about oops... but I got in panic too and killed the machine immediately!

Thank you!

I have upgraded, and haven't experienced any more locks so far. Let's wait some more days to see how it goes.

Thank you!
