virtualbox non ose installed fine, on 32 bit, I just tried it, 3.2.10.

Yes you get that dkms error message, but that's irrelevant.

I never use the ose version so I can't say anything about that.

Please make an effort to post meaningful information, which vbox, which vmware, which kernel (now posted), and so on, the expression: x doesn't work
is not a useful thing to say since it provides no information.

vbox non ose in 32 bit works via smxi/svmi.
