Dbl entries in fstab after kernel install but diff drives
After installing the kernel I was no longer to access both of my harddrives from Dolphin in a split window. My second drive has never been set for automount at boot and was mounted as needed from Dolphin in a split window. After running blkid I noticed that sda and sdb are both identifying volumes that only exist on one of the drives. Here is blkid output>
[root@Dotty makitso]# blkid /dev/sda1: UUID="9a810102-2653-4228-b7eb-bf9a1511ae11" TYPE="ext3" SEC_TYPE="ext2" /dev/sda2: UUID="1cd5514e-7923-4e36-acd3-6f341f6daf4c" TYPE="ext3" SEC_TYPE="ext2" /dev/sda5: LABEL="dbin" UUID="cc52791b-3a74-4003-a7a5-f1682e909487" TYPE="ext3" SEC_TYPE="ext2" /dev/sda6: LABEL="ibin" UUID="11cf9420-cace-4c12-b15e-6c56c5febe98" TYPE="ext3" SEC_TYPE="ext2" /dev/sda7: LABEL="vbin" UUID="0508c8a0-9a8b-427b-9b42-ad6d71a58973" TYPE="ext3" SEC_TYPE="ext2" /dev/sda8: UUID="e01626fc-fd72-4938-b6e7-d5b8f0eecaaf" TYPE="ext3" SEC_TYPE="ext2" /dev/sdb1: UUID="2a538ce4-d85d-4817-b301-a638e7594632" TYPE="ext3" /dev/sdb2: UUID="432e845a-a6d5-498d-92b8-574d4379c550" TYPE="ext3" /dev/sdb3: UUID="75de51e9-45f3-4ce6-865f-3d0be1576df6" TYPE="swap" /dev/sdb5: LABEL="dbin" UUID="ac837b89-e210-4a9d-9c1b-177424b5f555" TYPE="ext3" /dev/sdb6: LABEL="ibin" UUID="00dd4039-e320-49aa-96df-555d0c16bab5" TYPE="ext3" /dev/sdb7: LABEL="vbin" UUID="476d11a1-33fc-455f-870e-7eaca3febbae" TYPE="ext3" /dev/sdb8: UUID="51221624-e42a-4401-a49e-a64a94cb4588" TYPE="ext3" /dev/sda3: UUID="c39ed4b4-767c-49b3-8c18-f25461f8f40b" SEC_TYPE="ext2" TYPE="ext3" notice the dbin,ibin,vbin lables. Only my primary drive is labeled with those names but it shows my secondary drive with the same names. Any idea whats up here or how to fix. Back to top |
