initramfs-tools 0.97 fails to update
I, and a few others, have had a problem updating initramfs-tools from 0.96.1 to 0.97 (see www.sidux.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=21195 ). Not everyone has the bug and I've updated hypnos in virtualbox without any problems. I've reported the bug (
bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=586554 ) but am struggling to provide the developer with a clue to what's causing it. From the sidux thread there are 4 people with the issue (bot 32bit and 64bit). I've gone back to a testing version as an interim. Is anyone else having the problem here? Back to top |
Running antiX with Sid repos. No problems with initramfs-tools 0.97.

seems fine though I do see one small glitch report, probably the result of sloppy pre/post install script testing or something:

From the sidux thread it looks like three 64 bit and one 32 bit. How 'old' is your install that you're checking the update? I had no problems with a fresh virtualbox hypnos install, just an older pomtos install.

this is an old modified 2005-04 32 bit. Less and less sidux stuff left on it though. No slh kernels.

The problem appears to be failing hooks from iscan - so the only advice is remove iscan which isn't helpful to those with sane unsupported scanners
