I updated the smxi-stub installer, used in distro packages, to use a new safer and simpler method to download check files. Now it save files to a variable, tests the variable data, and if complete, writes to file.

Not a huge difference, but I've found fringe cases where it does make a difference.

If any distros use it, I suggest you update it for your next release.
