googleearth via smxi
I may be posting this in the wrong place, but I recently loaded googleearth with smxi and it dies after flashing the initial logo (image). The error message in yakuake is:
bob@desktop:~$ googleearth [: 12: unexpected operator /usr/lib/googleearth/googleearth-bin: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/googleearth/libssl.so.0.9.8: undefined symbol: EVP_idea_cbc It's probably not an smxi problem, but "help, help!" BTW inxi -F gives: bob@desktop:~$ inxi -F System: Host desktop Kernel 2.6.30-5.dmz.4-liquorix-686 i686 (32 bit) Distro sidux 2009-02 Αιθήρ - kde-lite - (200907141544) CPU: Dual core Intel Core2 6300 (SMP) cache 2048 KB flags (sse3 nx lm vmx) bmips 7459.26 Clock Speeds: (1) 1862.00 MHz (2) 1596.00 MHz Graphics: Card nVidia G73 [GeForce 7300 GT] X.Org 1.6.3 Res: 1024x768@50.0hz GLX Renderer GeForce 7300 GT/PCI/SSE2 GLX Version 2.1.2 NVIDIA 185.18.36 Direct Rendering Yes Audio: Card Intel 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio Controller driver HDA Intel Sound: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Version 1.0.20 Network: Card Intel 82566DC Gigabit Network Connection driver e1000e at port 30c0 Disks: HDD Total Size: 250.1GB (69.9% used) 1: /dev/sda ST3250620AS 250.1GB Partition: ID:/ size: 20G used: 5.7G (32%) ID:swap-1 size: 1.04GB used: 0.00GB (0%) Info: Processes 134 Uptime 7:57 Memory 421.1/2008.6MB Client Shell inxi 1.1.13 Back to top |
I get :
:: Code :: $ googleearth
[: 12: unexpected operator . . . but then it almost runs OK. I can zoom around but clicking on a search comes up with the second part of the error you get. It hasn't always been like that! Until two days ago I could have acroread or googleearth. I went for acroread as I use it daily. . . but, just tried googleearth today and now its working! Something has obviously happened in a d-u but I don't know what. drb [EDIT] Renamed /usr/lib/googleearth/libcrypto.so.0.9.8.moved.for.workaround TO /usr/lib/googleearth/libcrypto.so.0.9.8 and things appear to be working here Back to top |
Just upgraded a vbox version and googleearth just started working on that as well after renaming /usr/lib/googleearth/libcrypto.so.0.9.8.moved.for.workaround TO /usr/lib/googleearth/libcrypto.so.0.9.8
All 32 bit apps I've tried now working fine here Back to top |
