hi thanks for heads up

maybe this will explain the extn pack?

blogs.oracle.com/wim/2010/12/oracle_vm_virtualbox_40_extens.html

and from wikipedia

Features only available with the extension pack
Some features require the installation of the closed-source "VirtualBox Extension Pack"[30]:
Support for a virtual USB 2.0 controller (EHCI)
VirtualBox RDP: support for proprietary remote connection protocol developed by Microsoft and Citrix.
PXE boot for Intel cards

I've waited on upgrading to version 4. Does everything 'work' OK with version 4 with regard to USB use etc.?

You must install also the VirtualBox Extension Pack.

To do a test if all your things are ok, simply do a copy of your HD upgrade and try it.

I'm using the last 4 but I not use USB.
