no details given, what kernel? I would try an older kernel, one major version back if you are using current or pre-release 3.0, ie, 2.6.38

Then I'd go to vbox forums/ bug reports, and search for the issue, it's probably known, or google it (lots of results, all the distros have this reported as issue).

virtualbox ticket 9253: www.virtualbox.org/ticket/9253

After services goes down and just before shutdown or restart, we got a kernel panic.

i'm attaching pictures with the trace. Let me know if you need something else.

kernel 2.6.39.3 gcc 4.6.1 glic 2.14

definitely try 2.6.38

I've removed all my older kernels but I've had no issues until 4.1. The link you've provided seems to have hit upon the issue.

Can' t confirm that.
I have 2.6.39-3.dmz.2-liquorix-amd64 x86_64 and just installed Virtualbox 4.1. No problems experienced like those.

drb, try the liquorix and see if that goes.

Or it could be a 32/64 issue, easy enough to find out.

svmi allows reverting to 4.0.12 so no big issues there.

added 4.1.6, also, there is no lenny version, so I'm removing the lenny option from svmi, people should upgrade to squeeze or do this stuff manually at this point.
