Internet Explorer IE 6 overflow:auto bug

I've recently found a small but significant but in IE 6, this is new from 5.5. Before, overflow:auto worked perfectly, but in IE 6, when there is a blank space in the scrolling part of the page, in other words, no text/images under your mousecursor, the screen will often stop scrolling when you are using your wheelmouse. If anyone knows of a fix for this, please post it.

This is too bad, Microsoft had the first good implementation of mouseover mousewheel scrolling of overflow:auto region, such as on div tags in version 5.5, now it's somewhat buggy.

Firebird/firefox now are the only bug free implementation of that method that I know of, not a very big share of the market.

Opera 7.5, which recently came out to much excitement, almost has this feature working, but you still have to click in the scrolling area to start the wheelscrolling, too bad, so much for their 'amazing css support'.... not that anyone should expect 'amazing css support' from what is primarily a browser for handheld devices of course....

yet another reason to go download the new firefox browser...
