I use fuse a couple of ways. One is to mount samba shares via smbnetfs or fusesmb(which has always seemed less reliable). The other is to mount my local server's file system using sshfs(which normally works flawlessly).

Recently neither methods will work and this is the error displayed.

"fuse: failed to open /dev/fuse: Permission denied"

Has anyone else been having trouble with fuse? Any Idea how to go about fixing this one??

I have removed and reinstalled with no effect. Next would be a roll back but I don't remember a recent update to fuse.

Thanks
