When I try and run smxi under this new release I get this error after "Attempting to stop default display manager kdm now";

"nohup: ignoring input and appending output to 'nohup.out'"

What is this?....

that's not an error, I use nohup to make sure the command completes even as x stops. It's just a little extra security thing we worked out over the years to make sure the triggered action would totally complete.

nohup just tells the shell to complete the command in the nohup file, or something like that, not sure exactly.

If the user is in terminal it's really not needed, but I never fine tuned it that much.

Thanks for the input.
Perhaps I should have given a little more info.
I am testing this release in VirtualBox 3.0.8 r53138
When I get to this point nothing further happens and I have no mouse movement within VirtualBox.
My only option is to hard power down the virtual machine and start the machine again.

Am I missing something obvious here?

the only mouse stuff in terminal should be gpm anyway.

Not sure why you are looking for mouse in console unless it's gpm mouse stuff. smxi doesn't need any mouse stuff working either.

After install to hard drive I no longer have the freeze issue.
I guess this was something to do with VirtualBox.

smxi currently updating sidux...

sorry, I misunderstood, so when kdm gets shut down, virtualbox crashes?

In general for future reference, just start with init 3, typing 3 in grub then hitting enter, to avoid that crash.

Not much I can do about virtualbox bugs though.
