I thought I'd post a quick thread about using sid/smxi and aptitude after ditching Sidux after it was apparent I did not want to use their distro about 5 months ago.
And to be honest I'm liking it better. I find as long as I use aptitude safe-upgrade it keeps my system clean by ditching obsolete packages and combined with smxi it just makes upgrading trivial. I decided to just use aptitude instead of apt-get for the hell of it and for the fact that newer safe-upgrade option seemed to handle things better. Really enjoying my Debian Sid box and can't see myself needing to change distro's.... ever really. :) Loving Debian/smxi |
