dear admin,

I need a support about my video card when using the smxi.when I run smxi, it shows that my video card has only 256mb instead of 512mb, which would be correct. I wonder if the smxi has some bug as regarding nvidia? Why does the sidux read only 256mb of VGA ?I cannot get it through. Please check the post at sidux Brazil with the pictures to understand better at sidux.forumdebian.com.br/forumnovo/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=365

the sgfxi video memory information is extremely unreliable. Also, many video cards say they are 512 or something with turbocache or whatever, but that's a lie, they use the system ram.

Mobile chips are also very unreliable.

This method is just what one thing in linux is given as video card ram information, tnat's why I wrote next to it that it is not reliable, it is not.

A card can say it is 512 mb turbached ram when it only has 256 mB onboard ram, for example.

This data has no real meaning and is not used by anything internally.
