Includes lot of 100% load building packages for MX Linux, and watching local and browser videos.

I know this is just one data point, but I hope the issue is solved.

Awesome, thanks for the feedback! A lot of work has been put into Project-C over the last few weeks to resolve freezing.

The solution is multi faceted with problems going from bad locking, missing kernel configurations to enhance stability, to syncing upstream mainline scheduling code shapes to Project-C so that it only deviates in scheduling logic wherever possible, but follows upstream core scheduling code for things like when to lock, how to handle IRQs in critical sections, etc.

There's still more room for improvement but the bulk has been resolved. I even got a report that CPU temperatures are lower when the system is idle, and I've noticed that too on a laptop that my battery life is about 50% more when doing light tasks, like reading content on a webpage with the occasional scrolling and navigation.

Yes, other MX users are also reporting that the latest 7.1 kernels are usable again.

Being based on Debian instead of Ubuntu, we have to port over other distro's DKMS packages for newer kernels when Debian seems stuck, such as Siduction's closed and open 580 Nvidia drivers, or packaging Virtual Box 5.2.12 ourselves.

And right after I posed the above, checking Debian showed they had added VBox 7.2.14 in Sid, so that's in our test repo now.
