boot process hangs on "nvidiafb: unable to set mtrr" with latest 64bit kernel

Hi im trying to boot latest 64bit enabled kernel on my system but boot process hangs at the line saying:

:: Code ::
nvidiafb: unable to set MTRR


and screen goes green background, requiring hard reset.

What can i do for providing you with more info ?

you have to supply actual data when you post a bug / issue.

That means: system/os (be specific), kernel, nvidia driver version, etc.

Posting: thing doesn't work

is not very useful.

Sorry about the first post...

os: debian jessie with latest patches

kernel: linux-image-4.0-5.dmz.2-liquorix-amd64

nvidia driver: nvidia-settings: version 340.46

if you need more information please be more specific I'm kind of newbie when it comes to bug reports...
