Sounds reasonable, until you ask yourself what else they use that data for. Personally I can imagine lots of other things a site like this can use data for.

There's really no reason to waste bandwidth on a spider like this:
1- if you do have plagiarized content, obviously you want to block it.
2 - if you don't have plagiarized content, obviously you want to block it, since the bot doesn't apply to your site.

As far as I can see, that leaves exactly zero reasons to not block it.
