Did this get updated to 1.5.30?
After wheezy was released as stable, I did a quite big system upgrade (unstable) and now i get this error when trying to install wine from liquorix repositories.
:: Code ::
gvoima@alpha:~$ sudo apt-get install wine1.5

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 wine1.5 : Depends: wine1.5-i386 (= 1.5.30-0ubuntu3.1)
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

[edit] Well..there seems to be so many broken packages still with latest sid, that I'll just have to wait! :-)[/edit]

I've taken this low blow:
:: Code ::
oscar@mint-box ~ $ sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
[sudo] password for oscar:

You might want to run 'apt-get -f install' to correct these.
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 wine : Depends: wine1.6 but it is not installed
 wine1.6-amd64 : Depends: wine1.6:any (= 1.6~rc3-0ubuntu1.1)
                 Recommends: libcapi20-3 but it is not installed
                 Recommends: libosmesa6 but it is not installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try using -f.
oscar@mint-box ~ $ apt-get -f install

For the time being, I solved my "problem" by compiling wine myself.
I guess I can do that in the future too. But a wine repository for debian is always great!

Did you build the new 1.6rc3?
It's complaining about wrong libraries (elfclass) whole the time, I wonder, did you specify --libdir=/usr/lib32?

Woops, sorry guys, I just rebuilt using the latest package source from Ubuntu. Are you guys on 32-bit or 64-bit?

And regarding elboy71, try purging all wine packages first, then install wine from the repository.

I'm on 64 bit. Haven't tried the repository yet, but wine 1.6 is now officially released :-)
There should be some great graphic updates and a lot of new stuff overall. Can't wait for it to hit the repos!

Installed wine 1.6 rc5 from the repository a couple of days back, and it's been working nice. So thanks a lot!

Wine dropped the support for those a long time ago. I think it was in 1.3.25.

edit: yeah, it was that. Had to check it out :I

Old-style sound drivers for Jack, NAS and ESD are removed.

I've had pulseaudio-only in wine for ages now.
