does anyone know if debian is planning to switch to the 3 number naming for the kernel and other packages? i liked when liquorix was using it, the extra 0 is pointless. IMHO.

I added the extra 0 purely for compatibility with LVM and dm-raid45. There is a forum thread here about it if you can find it that has all the details.
But otherwise I agree, the extra 0 is pretty stupid. |
