Hi h2,
First, thanks for making this script. Probably zillions of sidux users rely on it secretly! Since running an smxi upgrade on my sidux system on May 26 2010, I have not been able to install the latest version of virtualbox. Each time I receive the error: "ERROR: (190) Wget reports errors on download attempt for file: virtualbox-3.2_3.2.0-61806~Debian~lenny_amd64.deb Is this a problem with smxi (unlikely)? Or is there some problem with my system (more likely)? How can I resolve this? Thanks very much |

Let me check, I don't use 64 bit and sometimes there are small differences between 32 and 64 bit.

That does appear to be your system, I tested:
wget --spider download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/3.2.0/virtualbox-3.2_3.2.0-61806~Debian~lenny_amd64.deb and it works fine. Make sure you actually have room on your system, inxi -pl or: df -h my guess is your partition is full, but it might be a connection issue. No issues with the url that I can see, and it connects to it fine. Think back if you can recall any errors, also remove the old file from /usr/src/svmi-downloads/vbox |

Thanks!
I supposedly still have 14 gigs on my root directory. Sorry but I didn't understand what inxi-pl is for. It it a command? I think I have connection problems- the Great Firewall of China seems to block access to a very large range of things. Thanks for being patient with the new guys who know nearly nothing about linux except how to type on it :) |
