A few days ago I tried to use sgfxi to install the nvidia driver using the debian method and I got a message saying that only the beta driver would work with 2.6.29.
Since nvidia 180.22 it has worked for me with my self-compiled 2.6.29 kernels that are basically slh kernels patched with bootsplash, nothing else done. :: Code ::

That was a leftover from the previous beta handling for 2.6.29., plus I hadn't updated 29 to support debian driver install method.
Also added in the new 173xx nvidia-glx-legacy and auto detection of that by sgfxi debian driver installer, and also turned off the warnings about testing since it appears these packages are now back in testing. |
