New beta: 190.18

Nothing to note, I haven't tried this one yet. This must be a quick bug fix for 190.16, so I just changed 16 to 18 and didn't add 16 as a prior.

removed the option to set ignoredisplaydevices in xorg.conf. However, sgfxi will still strip that out.

If you find that you need this, I'll add back an alternate forcing of that option, but damentz believes it's not necessary at all in nvidia any longer.

Please let me know if need to have that in xorg.conf at all, but first make sure to try it without the option in xorg.conf at all before saying it's necessary.

If it is in rare cases needed, I'll add back in a custom option of the -! <number> type to handle that case.

9-7 is now default, patch tested and works on 2.6.29, there will not be normal support for later kernels until 2.6.31 and a later fglrx driver are released.

sgfxi -f
to install.

Note, I will be removing the deb builder default fairly soon for fglrx and will change the default install method to the current -f. Apparently AMD/ATI will never release working code, and will continue to offer lame excuses about why this is ok, for the distro package builder scripts, so it's time to give up on that feature and move on to use the raw binary install method, which has the best long term odds of maintainable success.

Bug fix, worth noting: the new 190.xx beta nvidia drivers could not have been working due to an oversight in sgfxi, that is fixed now.

Also, there is now support for 2.6.31 nvidia, but that's untested, but it will let you try. Please report any failures or issues so I can update the supported nvidia 2.6.31 drivers list. fglrx still has only 2.6.29 or older kernel support.

Good news for fglrx users, 9-8 is now in sgfxi and works without hacks or patches on 2.6.29 and 2.6.30 kernels.

So install the latest Debian or Liquorix kernel now, it's not known when 2.6.31 support will happen, though it might be fairly soon for AMD/ATI.

H2 please use the -f option as default for the last AMD driver in smxi.

Thank you.
